Sunseed has provided these opportunities for young people since it was founded in 1986. We rely on your donations to deliver a high quality experience, including training courses, internships and research projects, at affordable prices.
As a friend of Sunseed, you play an invaluable role in reaching out to young people and nurturing a new generation of environmental stewards at a time when the need for environmental action to protect and sustain our planet has never been greater.

What is the role of Friends of Sunseed Donors?
Every year the different departments of Sunseed run several projects. If you interested in supporting a project or specific department, you can contact the department coordinator and collaborated with them in its realization.

We have a bursary for donors to fund the experience of one volunteer. Many young people are willing to come to Sunseed but they do not have the financial means to do so. If you are willing to support them, we facilitate you this opportunity and put you in contact with the volunteers so you can follow their experience.
As a FoS Donor you can choose what information would you like to receive from Sunseed. Such as a volunteers stories, updates of the projects, the quarterly newsletter, our financial statements...
If you are willing to support Sunseed in the accomplishment of our mission and vission statement. You can make monthly donations to the whole project and let the project coordinators decide.

What can we offer you?
As a friend of Sunseed you can be as active (or passive) as you choose. You will be offered a choice of how we keep in contact with you, how often and the kind of information you prefer. We produce monthly updates, a quarterly Friends of Sunseed Newsletter, volunteers’ stories, an annual report and occasional project appeals. We also offer discounts if you would like to visit Sunseed to see how we work in practice.
We also invite you to work with us in any way that is mutually beneficial. Whether you want to support a needy volunteer (e.g. through our bursary scheme) or build a new classroom block, together we can make a world of difference. Please contact us to discuss any ideas or projects that you would like to develop; we’d love to hear from you.
